About SVG and PDF

SVG is an XML-based vector format that describes shapes, paths, and text. PDF is a page-oriented format that keeps a consistent page size for sharing and printing.

Supported vector content is drawn as PDF vector operations rather than a screenshot. Advanced features such as filters, masks, fonts, and embedded HTML can render differently, and this tool reports the ones it detects.

Frequently asked questions

Will the PDF stay vector-based?

Supported SVG content is converted to PDF vector operations. Some features may be approximated or unsupported, and the tool lists the features it detects in each file.

Is my SVG uploaded anywhere?

No. Files are read and converted in your browser. Only the conversion libraries are downloaded from a CDN.

Why are external images not shown?

For safety, external URLs inside SVG files are not fetched. Embedded data-URI images are allowed.

Can I combine several SVG files?

Yes. Choose "One multi-page PDF" to create one page per SVG in the order listed. If any file fails, the combined output is not created so that no file is silently omitted.
